It looks like Google rolled over another quarterly page rank update last night, June 27, 2011. I’ve heard they do smaller updates quite often, but the major pagerank updates, like for the actual toolbar, only happens maybe once every quarter.

I wasn’t expecting much change since I know I’ve been slacking a bit on my seo and backlinking efforts lately, and it really showed. None of my sites went up in PR, many of them went down. However, at least all of my new sites had gotten indexed.
Even though many people believe Google PageRank shouldn’t be looked at to highly, it still is like a blow to the gut when a webmaster see’s their sites PR going down.
But then again, what should you expect if you aren’t putting in the effort and consistently working on your SEO for your sites, right?
Starting today I am using this as motivation to get back on the SEO trail and will be ready for the next PR update.
